TestGroup is now developing two new assessment tools. These online assessment tools will predict work success using machine learning (AI) and big data (data analytics or talent analytics)

In recent years, organizations have become more data driven. Decisions are based less on intuition and more on objective data. Also in the world of (online) assessments this development is more and more visible. Data from (online) assessments, career tests and 360 degree feedback tools give insight into employees, teams but also the organizational culture. Data analytics or talent analytics tools make it possible to discover trends and to implement improvements. This in turn, is the basis for predictions about what will happen in the future: predicting work success.

Within TestGroup we are busy with connecting assessment data to work behaviour (performance) measurements. On the basis of our (new) data driven assessment tools we can make predictions about the performance (work success) of new and existing employees.

TestGroup is now developing two new assessment tools. These online assessment tools will help predict success in the workplace using machine learning (AI) and big data (data analytics or talent analytics).

New assessment tool: predict sales success with data analytics and machine learning

In the 12 years that TestGroup has existed, an anonymous database has been built with data of thousands of sales employees. These anonymised data were then linked with data about job level, sales targets, revenue, age, branch, education and work experience. Connecting these data makes it possible to compare levels of talent and proficiency in sales competencies. This can give insight into the sales skills of specific employee groups.

With data analytics it’s possible to make the connection between the current sales competencies of employees and the organization’s needed sales competencies. An organization that wants to distinguish itself from the competition with excellent sales, will want to have great sellers within their organization, or otherwise bring them into the organization. This is possible with TestGroup’s new data driven sales assessment tool. Data analytics gives insight into which sales competencies need to be added to the organization. With TestGroup’s new sales assessment tool it becomes possible to select or develop these specific competencies.

New assessment tool: focused career planning with data analytics and machine learning

With data analytics, developments that often occur unknowingly within an organization become more insightful and easier to manage. This makes it possible to have a more focused prediction about in which jobs people will be successful. This is an advantage for both the organization and the employee. With our new (career) assessment tool both the organization and the employee can gain more focus on career planning. When certain competencies need to be developed, the organization can choose, based on data, for an investment in education or offer a more suitable job.

Employees will also gain more control over their career. They can choose to develop themselves (with training or learning on the job) to become more proficient in a desired competency or they can choose a different job. When an employee knows what he is good at and what he would be most successful at, he will be more capable of planning his career. With as a result more success in the workplace.
